  2. Connect the inlet and the outlet of the oil pipe and testing pipe properly.

  4. Turn the “Manual/ Automatic” knob switch to the “Automatic” setting and press the “Start” button switch. Under the control of the programmable logic controller PLC, the machine will work automatically.

  1. Oil can only be circulated inside the transformer at 1,500 l/per hour. You can open ¾ of the oil outlet valve as well as the machine circulation valve to control oil flow capacity when you are filling oil into the Transformer.

  2. Transfer of oil from one tank to another tank can be done at more than 1,500 L/per hour.

  3. Oil should be circulated through machine filters more than once (twice is preferred) for better cleaning.

  4. Oil should not be heated above 60 degrees Celsius. The maximum suggested temperature is 65 degrees.

  5. If the oil going into the vacuum chamber is too hot, it will boil and overflow. Therefore, YELOCO sets the machine heating temperature to 60 degrees Celsius.

  6. Oil going into the machine should be restricted at the source so that it prevents the machine from over-filling. This would mean that the machine vacuum chamber volume must match machine flow capacity. YELOCO Oil Purifier Machine’s design and make it according to these scientific ratios.

  7. Dirty oil will need to be circulated slower so that the machine can withdraw moisture and prevent machine overflowing.

Oil Purification Machine Vacuum Filling Oil for Transformer Operation Guide:

1). Preparation work

  1. Please implement the coordination work with the personnel in the transformer manufacturer, make the construction date clear and put the relevant process measures, organization measures and safety measures according to the requirements.
  2. Please prepare enough qualified new oil, take oil samples for chemical and electric test, analyze and test the test data.
  3. Please prepare vacuum oil purification machine and oil drum, oil pipe, pipe joint, valve oil standard pipe and other accessories and ensure that they are clean with no foreign objects.
  4. There should be enough lighting equipment and fire-fighting equipment on site.
  5. Please get to know the weather condition, confirm the start data and record the temperature, humidity and other data before operation.
  6. Please conduct the organizational learning of this scheme, have clear work division and check whether the safety measures on site meet the requirements.
  7. Please explain the relevant safety measures and work disciplines clear to the staff members in the shift.

 

2). Vacuum filling oil for transformer

  1. Please connect one end of the vacuum pipe on the transformer to the vacuum oil purification machine.
  2. Please connect the vacuum oil purification machine, oil storage tank and transformer with pipelines.
  3. Please turn on the vacuum pump, improve the vacuum degree evenly in one hour in order to make the vacuum degree reach 1.3Kpa and maintain this vacuum degree for 30 minutes.
  4. Please continue vacuum ≤50Pa(We read this figure from the Mai vacuum gauge mounted on the top of the transformer.) when inspecting that the components of the transformer are normal and maintain for 6 hours. Please closely observe the deformation of the transformer box and stop the operation of the vacuum pump and report to the relevant personnel in case of any abnormality.
  5. People on duty are prohibited to leave their post in the vacuum process and record the relevant data.
  6. Please continue to vacuumize, open the oil outlet valve of the oil storage tank and oil inlet valve of the transformer, turn on the vacuum oil purifier, control the valve appropriately and inject the qualified oil in the oil storage tank from the bottom of the transformer to the transformer at the speed of 4-6 tons per hour. Please closely observe the oil level, stop oil filling, turn off the oil inlet valve on the transformer, disassemble the oil pipe and seal the pipe orifice with the plate when the oil is 100-150mm away from the top of the box.
  7. Please continue to vacuumize for 8 hours and maintain the vacuum degree ≤50Pa( red through Mai vacuum gauge).

 

3). Filling Oil for transformer without vacuum

  1. Stop the vacuum pump, remove the vacuum degree of the transformer and observe the oil level changes.
  2. Please connect the oil purification machine, oil tank and transformer.
  3. Please open the oil outlet valve of the oil storage tank and oil inlet valve of the transformer, turn on the vacuum oil purifier machine and inject the oil in the oil storage tank from Buchholz relay to the transformer at the speed of 4-6 tons per hour after the components are inspected to be normal. Please pay attention to the oil level changes on the oil gauge.
  4. Slow down the oiling speed when the oil level is nearly to the top and stop oil filling when the oil level is close to the horizontal surface of the lower joint of the Buchholz relay.
  5. Please re-install the short joints of the Buchholz relay and turn on the butterfly valve on both sides of the Buchholz relay.
  6. Please connect the oil filling pipe at the oil inlet pipe of the oil pillow, open the air-bleed hole on the top of the oil pillow, disassemble the respirator and close the exhaust and oil drain valve in the plenum chamber of the oil pillow.
  7. Please re-open the connecting butterfly valve at the cooler and transformer body.
  8. Please re-open the oil purifier and inject oil to the high block, oil pillow and cooler. Please immediately stop oiling and close the relevant valve if there is oil overflow from the air-bleed hole at the top of the oil pillow.
  9. Please loosen the air-bleed hole screws of the relief valve, high and low pressure side casing lifting foundation, neutral point casing and lifting foundations and tighten these screws in case of any oil overflow.
  10. Please turn on the exhaust valve of the plenum chamber of the oil pillow. Loosen the wire holder screw at the high pressure point casing and slightly lift the wire holder and re-tighten the wire holder screw if there is no gas overflow. Please pay attention to the sealing condition on the wire holder.
  11. Please close the butterfly valve at the oiling inlet, disassemble the oil pipe and block the pipe joints with plug immediately.
  12. Please adjust the oil level of the transformer oil pillow to the appropriate position through the oil drain valve at the bottom of the transformer and tighten the air-bleed hole on the top of the oil pillow. Please pay attention to the tightness of the air-bleed hole.
  13. Please slightly tighten the screws on the casing lifting base(tighten appropriately in case of any oil leakage).
  14. Please remove the temporary oil gauge and other oiling accessories. Make the transformer static for minimum 24 hours, carefully check the components of the transformer (such as oil level, tightness, deformation, etc.) and have exhaust of the Buchholz relay for appropriate times.
  15. Please conduct the chemical and electric test for the oil samples from the transformer.
  16. Please clean the site after the oiling of the transformer and everything is normal.
  17.  

V. Safety precautions

  1. Please set up scaffold around the low pressure side casing from the special channels of the upper and lower transformer and take necessary anti-skidding measures.
  2. Please follow the regulations for high altitude operation when working on the top of the transformer.
  3. Please get to know the weather condition. The contact time of the equipment and air cannot exceed 12 hours with the air humidity maximum 75% and the allowable time is 16 hours when the humidity is below 65%.
  4. Please pay attention to interrelation in alternate operation and prevent the personnel damage and equipment damage caused by high falling objects.
  5. Please make sure that the oil purifier, vacuum pump and electric tools are qualified before using and connect the metal housing to the ground reliably.
  6. Please carefully handles the components and make marks in the designated place in order to prevent damage.
  7. Please wipe the components with a piece of white cloth or silk fabric rather than cotton yarn.
  8. It is strictly forbidden to cut off water when using the vacuum pump. Please maintain the oil temperature 45—55℃ when injecting oil.
  9. Slowly inject oil with oiling time minimum 4 hours and maintain the vacuum degree over 6 hours after oiling.
  10. The chief responsible person shall coordinate the work among the professionals in the whole work process.

What is difference between hydraulic oil and turbine oil?

I. First of all, let’s talk about the difference between the definition of hydraulic oil and turbine oil.

The definition of hydraulic oil is: hydraulic oil uses the pressure of the liquid to make the hydraulic system as the hydraulic medium, which acts as anti-wear, system lubrication, defensive cooling, rust prevention, etc. for the hydraulic system.

The definition of Turbine oil is: Turbine oil is commonly referred to as turbine oil, including gas turbine oil, steam turbine oil, etc., which are commonly used in the reduction gears, sliding bearings, and hydraulic control systems of the connected units. The main functions of turbine oil are cooling, speed regulation and lubrication.

II. The differences between hydraulic oil and turbine oil performance requirements

During operation, the lubricating oil is subjected to high heat surface, mixed with air (flue gas), pumped and circulated at a considerable rate and used under high pressure. Therefore, gas turbine oil is required to have superior high temperature oxidation stability and wear resistance than steam turbine oil.

Characteristics of hydraulic oil: Hydraulic oil is used as the working medium of the hydraulic system. It mainly transmits hydraulic energy while lubricating the hydraulic components.
Turbine oil generally refers to gas turbine oil and hydraulic turbine oil. Hydraulic oil is used in hydraulic transmission systems. The two environments are different. Turbine oil requires higher rust prevention, anti-foam and anti-emulsification requirements. Hydraulic oil has higher requirements for anti-wear, anti-foam and anti-emulsification

I. Why these oil need use YELOCO Lubricating Oil Purification machine/ Hydraulic oil filtering machine?

1)    Water and gas are in two forms in the oil – dissolved water, gas (below the saturation point) are present in most oil systems and oil equipment, and free water, gas (above the saturation point) is present in many oils.

2)    Due to system leakage, poor sealing, long-term thermal load of oil, open storage, etc., moisture and gas in the air settle in the oil, resulting in water and gas in the oil.

3)    As the system leaks, the dust in the air enters the system and the dust falls off. The oil works for a long time under high temperature and water. It will inevitably cause some oil to crack and precipitate the gelatinous substance.

II. YELOCO Hydraulic oil purification/ Lubricating oil filtering machine function

The Series YH-TYA Hydraulic oil purifier/ Lubricating oil filtering system filters out the water, gas, impurities and volatile matters, (methanol, ethanol, acetylene, hydrogen, methane, ammonia) etc. and other dangerous components in the oil, etc. further raising the quality of the oil fluid, restoring the viscosity, cleanliness and performance of the various oils. III. How to treatment these oil?

1) When the Hydraulic oil purification machine/ Lube oil purifier machine is in operation, the oil fluid will first of all flow into the heater under the effect of differences in internal and external pressure of the oil fluid to conduct heat exchange so that the oil fluidity is further enhanced and the water content in the oil fluid is evaporated in the vacuum separator.

2) After the heating process, it will enter into the preliminary purification device to remove the large molecules of impurities.

3) Thereafter, the oil fluid will now enter into the water separator. As the water separator uses an enhanced hydrophilic and hydrophobic technology, it comprehensively alters the interactive performances of the 2 interfaces between oil and water, enabling the microscopic water molecules to accelerate their activities and integrating into a larger water molecule that is big enough to be separated from the oil fluid. The extracted water molecules will settle down on a collection device and be emptied out.

4) The oil fluid will continue to move into a customized and personalized vacuum separator, whereby it capitalizes on the molecular separation principle to execute pressure-changing resolution, vacuum retention, rapid three-dimensional evaporation, and elimination of molecular bonding so that the dissolving water, dissolving gases, and the free gases will quickly break free from the oil molecules and be filtered out. They will first form into the vapor state in the vacuum separator, and then later form into the membrane state so that the contact surface is a few hundred times that of the original in the vacuum, and the water content in the oil will evaporate and be pumped out of the vacuum system under extreme high temperature, highly intensified vacuum, large surface area and high-speed pumping.

5) The dry oil fluid that has been vaporized and eliminated of the water content in the vacuum, will remove the microscopic molecules of impurities in the oil fluid after being pumped into a more precise filtering device through the oil drainage pump, thereby completing the whole process of oil purification.

II. Stainless steel heater and Patented heating technology

Patented heating technology: Adopts the most liable thermal radiation, infrared ray, thermal conduction and other heating technologies in the world, the heating elements will warm up evenly in the container.
